Discover Britain Wall Calendar Overview

The Discover Britain calendar is an innovative, interactive calendar, taking you on a visual journey the length and breadth of Britain. It contains twelve outstanding images of stunning scenic locations with links to 360˚ photospheres viewable on your smartphone, tablet or computer so you can learn more about each amazing place.

There's an atmospheric photo of Loughrigg Tarn in the Lake District, Cumbria on January's page. This enchanting small tarn lies among wooded fells, overlooked by the rugged Langdale Pikes. It was described by Wordsworth as 'Diana's Looking Glass', because of its clear waters and circular shape. Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island, Northumberland is the subject of September's photo. This striking 16th century castle is set on a volcanic rock crag on Holy Island, where St Aidan founded a monastery in 634 AD. Cut off at high tide it is reached by a causeway at low tide, the castle was renovated by Edwin Lutyens from 1901 with gardens created by Gertrude Jekyll. Each page includes a colourful inset map and a paragraph of interesting background notes.
