Rural Heritage Calendar Description

Developments in farming practice, techniques and traditions are the theme of the Rural Heritage calendar. Combining intricate paintings by Robin Wheeldon and Steven Binks, complete with interesting background facts, this calendar will fascinate your clients.

All the scenes are inspired by farming: horses are depicted, one being hitched to a cart, another pulling a plough. An enormous hybrid sow, part Large White, part Saddleback, is pictured feeding her nine piglets. Several paintings show tractors from the 1910s to the 1970s, such as ‘The Little Grey Fergie’, the Ferguson TE20 from 1946, which became one of the best known tractors in the world, with over 500,000 built. In a slightly more unusual scene a farmer is painted feeding two llamas and standing next to his David Brown 1390 tractor.
