Olde Worlde Inns Calendar Overview

The Olde Worlde Inns calendar is a photographic tour of some of Britain's most alluring and charming pubs and inns, all known for their character and tradition. Thatched pubs, stone inns, historic taverns, set in beautiful locations in villages, market towns and cities, on the coast, by a lake or riverside, with cosy fireplaces, welcoming bars and beer gardens are all colourfully photographed. Fascinating background information and maps to locate each of these tempting inns are also included in this unusual calendar.

For example, October's page shows the Crown and Trumpet, Broadway, Worcestershire. This 17th century inn, built of mellow Cotswold stone, complete with oak beams, log fires and a beer garden, stands just behind the green in the quintessential Cotswold village of Broadway. The village name refers to the wide, grass-fringed High Street, one of the longest in England, lined with mainly 16th century houses. The inn sign shows the Royal Herald with the trumpet that welcomes royalty.
