The Countryside Walks calendar offers the chance to discover beautiful places to walk all over Britain. Inviting location photos, maps from Ordnance Survey, and the link to GPS navigation routes and walk instructions that can be downloaded to a smartphone, tablet or GPS device combine to make a unique calendar.

Every amazing location photo is linked to a different walk, some easy, others more strenuous, in contrasting locations, such as Muker and Satron in Swaledale, Yorkshire. This very pleasant valley walk from the charming village of Muker in picturesque Swaledale traverses sheep pastures with beautiful views across the lush Swaledale landscape with its characteristic stone barns and drystone walls. It ascends the valley then descends to the hamlet of Satron before crossing the fine stone arched Ivelet Bridge over the river. The return route is along the river through the meadows then over a footbridge into Muker with its pub and tearoom. The grade and type of walk, mileage and length of walking time, are also provided.
