July’s photo is of Watendlath, a tiny unspoilt hamlet high up in a hanging valley with a pretty tarn to the south and an old packhorse bridge across the beck. This lovely walk follows a path up the side of Brund Fell, the highest of the three tops of Grange Fell with a superb view over King's How to Skiddaw from the summit. It descends almost to the Borrowdale valley floor to return to the start on a bridleway over Puddingstone Bank.
