Colin Prior Elementals Desk Calendar Overview

Renowned Scottish landscape photographer Colin Prior’s stunning collection is featured again in a new format in the Colin Prior Elementals desk calendar. This latest body of work explores his relationships between primeval elements in the landscape with twelve mesmerising images which highlight the sublime beauty of each place, together with the photographer’s personal background notes. Colin Prior’s exceptional landscape photography is underpinned with a strong conservation message. Seeking out what he refers to as ‘undisturbed places’, he takes you to some of the truly wild locations in Scotland.

June’s magnificent image is of Sail Mhor, Beinn Eighe and Liathach viewed from Beinn Eoin, Flowerdale Forest, Highland. Light is what turns the ordinary into the extraordinary and being in the right place at the right time seldom happens by chance. Around the period of the summer solstice, the sun is setting at its most north-westerly aspect and is ideally placed to illuminate the north facing corries of Scotland’s biggest mountains.
