Colin Prior Elementals Wall Calendar Overview

The Colin Prior Elementals calendar featuring prolific and renowned Scottish landscape photographer Colin Prior’s latest collection is a unique business calendar for the landscape connoisseur. Colin has gained world acclaim for his naturalistic and dramatic portrayal of the beauty of the wild places of Scotland, seeking out patterns in the landscape and the hidden links between reality and the imagination. His exploration of the different photographic format emphasises the relationship between the primal elements of the landscape and is underpinned by a strong conservation message.

January’s outstanding photo shows Blà Bheinn and Clach Glas, part of the Black Cuillin range, in the Isle of Skye. Considered to be one of the finest climbs in Skye, Blaven is the highest of the Cuillin outliers, linking the group to the Red Cuillin. Eleven of Skye’s twelve Munros lie along the serrated ridge, with the twelfth located on Blaven’s summit. Its ascent begins at sea level on Loch Slapin and rises to one of the best viewpoints in the Cuillin range. Each image is accompanied by the photographer’s personal background notes.
