Scenic Tour of Scotland Calendar Overview

The Scenic Tour of Scotland calendar is a real treat for the eyes. The natural beauty and tranquillity of Scotland’s wonderful landscape is captured in skilful photography and with high gloss finish on every picture the colours and textures of each splendid location are revealed. Two sections of map and descriptive captions provide detail of each photogenic location.

May’s image shows Glen Tilt in Perthshire. This stunning glen runs 30km north from Blair Atholl deep into the Cairngorms National Park. From the Old Bridge of Tilt, a track leads alongside the River Tilt to meet the River Garry and a series of lovely waterfalls. Marble is quarried in the glen, and the rocks have long attracted the attention of geologists. October’s photo is taken near Tarskavaig, a crofting village on the west coast of the southerly Sleat Peninsula, known as the ‘garden of Skye’ for its fertility. There are magnificent views of the Black Cuillin range, a semicircle of dark jagged mountains with steep sheer cliffs and gullies.
