Wild Planet Task Station Desk Calendar Overview

The Wild Planet Task Station desk calendar is an amazing series of outstanding photos of our planet’s geographic wonders and the wildlife that inhabits each spectacular place. Two stunning images are presented each month of a location and a creature that lives there, with a strong conservation message.

In February we see a bonobo and the Virunga National Park, Democratic Republic of Congo. Smaller and slimmer than chimpanzees, bonobos live only in the vast rainforest south of the Congo River in communities led by females. Poaching, slash and burn agricultural practices and logging have endangered them. The Andean Flamingo and the Atacama Desert, Chile are depicted in August. This large flamingo inhabits wetlands and alkaline lakes in the high Andes. It filter-feeds from the lakebed on crustaceans, and microscopic algae and is vulnerable to threats from mineral extraction and pollution. This sturdy and practical desk calendar comprises a heavy glossy easel with a useful planner pad for notes and appointments which runs along the base stand of the easel.
