Iconic Structures Desk Calendar Overview

The Iconic Structures desk calendar is a showcase of breathtaking ultramodern design and construction projects from all over the world, each one stunningly photographed. With useful background notes added about each innovative design your clients can marvel at some of the world’s superb feats of engineering while seated at their desk.

For example, the Jewel Indoor Waterfall at Changi Airport, Singapore. Water cascades down from an oculus in the centre of the dome-shaped roof into a valley with an indoor forest of 1,400 trees. It is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, standing 40m high. Structural features in the building’s exterior create an even circular water flow. The huge torus-shaped roof has a façade made of 9,000 glass panels. Another page shows the Central Library Oodi, Helsinki, Finland. It is topped with a large open-plan reading room under an undulating translucent roof punctured by circular skylights. Specially designed robots transport books to the 3rd floor known as ‘book heaven’ and a double-helix staircase connects all three levels of the library.
