In this promotional calendar for 2027 there’s a photo of the serrated curved edge of Chrome Hill, which, with its smaller neighbour Parkhouse Hill, is thought to resemble the spine of a stegosaurus dinosaur and is known as the ‘Dragon’s Back’. They are limestone reef knolls, or atolls, which formed around 340 million years ago. Dell Bridge and Lyceum, Port Sunlight, Merseyside are shown in another image. The ornate sandstone footbridge was constructed in 1894 for the Lever Brothers company in Port Sunlight - a ‘model’ village built in 1888 for the workers in its soap factory. It is overlooked by the red brick Lyceum Building, a former school, which is now used for social purposes.
