Pastoral Landscapes Calendar Overview

Nostalgic paintings by different landscape artists in the Pastoral Landscapes calendar seem to recall a time when life moved at a less frenetic pace. Art lovers and all those who value the traditional country way of life will appreciate these finely crafted scenes, which are reproduced on high quality embossed paper.

July's vibrant painting, entitled 'Harvesting', shows all the action of harvest time. A man drives a hay wagon pulled by three horses, another man cuts the corn while two women in bonnets and mob caps tie it into sheaves to be loaded onto the wagon and three dogs scamper about excitedly. September's painting, entitled 'Trout Fishing', shows a fly-fisherman standing in a beautiful river, casting his line out, watched by a young boy sitting on the riverbank and a group of cows grazing on the opposite bank. The trees are painted with incredibly intricate detail in this wonderful painting.
