Traveller's World Calendar Overview

The Traveller’s World calendar is a visual voyage of discovery and pure escapism. Vibrant, contrasting images of stunning destinations around the world, some well-known, others less familiar. Each eye-catching page includes full captions so you can learn more about each place and plan the journey of your imagination.

One evocative image shows Oia Village on the island of Santorini in Greece. It was built on the steep slope of the island’s sea-filled volcanic caldera created after a huge volcanic eruption around 1630 BC. Traditional whitewashed houses built into niches in the cliff face look out to sea with a fine view of Santorini’s famous sunset. Another photo depicts Thistle Cove, Western Australia. This idyllic beach offers wonderful coastal views and an unusual Whistling Rock, a giant bent slab that seems to amplify the sounds of the wind and sea. The beach and granite outcrops and the low-lying coastal plain and wetlands are frequented by grey kangaroos and several species of lizards, geckos and frogs.
