Around the World Calendar Overview

Featuring breathtaking images of some of the world’s most awesome locations, the Around the World calendar is an inspiration to embark on a voyage of discovery in your mind’s eye. Each magnificent photographic image is accompanied by interesting background notes.

One photo is of Bowling Alley Hill, Barbados. The stunning white sandy beaches along the east coast are littered with dramatic rock formations made from huge boulders of ancient coral, washed up on the shore, such as Bathsheba beach which faces eastward towards the rugged Atlantic. With its barreling waves it’s a paradise for surfers. Inland, there are many nature trails through the lush tropical rainforest. Another wonderful photo shows a man on a wooden raft on a river in Cao Bang Province, in the remote mountainous region of North Vietnam. Dotted with small villages, winding roads and rice paddies it is a limestone landscape of splendid waterfalls, turquoise blue lakes, caves and jagged peaks carpeted in thick vegetation. It includes Vietnam’s largest waterfall, Ban Gioc Falls.
