The dazzling chalk cliffs near Eastbourne, East Sussex are shown in another image with the sun setting over the shoreline and tide pools. The base of the cliffs, exposed to the incoming tide, is constantly eroded, forming caves, gulleys and channels in the chalk and depositing large chalk piles on the foreshore.
