Rustic Calendar Overview

The Rustic calendar is a treat for the eyes. Six charming watercolour paintings by different landscape artists using a variety of styles, reproduced on high quality embossed paper capture a sense of the timelessness of country life.

In one painting, entitled ‘End of the Day’ a farm worker is returning home, a rake on his shoulder and a dog at his side, to a stone cottage, with chickens pecking at the ground in front of it. We see two brightly coloured canal barges in another scene with two men walking along the towpath, perhaps in search of some refreshment, as the title is ‘Time for a Break’. Another painting entitled ‘Poppy Time’ depicts a country lane passing through scarlet poppies along the roadside and in the fields beyond. These nostalgic, peaceful country scenes to all will appeal not only to art lovers but also to everyone who values the rural way of life.
