One photo shows the rolling chalk hills of the South Downs which extend along the southeast coast and towards the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head. Chalk grassland is one of the richest habitats of Western Europe, containing many plant and animal species. Another image is of Tetbury, Gloucestershire. This Cotswolds town reached the height of its prosperity as a wool town in the 16th and 17th centuries. The picturesque Market House, built in 1655, supported on three rows of stone pillars was originally used for the sale of wool and yarn. The marketplace is still the focal point of Tetbury, hosting farmers markets and other events. The ancient Chipping Steps is a medieval set of cobbled steps next to a row of 17th century weaver's cottages.
