There’s an image of St Govan’s Head, Pembrokeshire on one page. The views along the South Pembrokeshire coast from this wild headland are magnificent. The rugged cliffs are an important nesting colony for seabirds and popular with rock climbers. Steps from the clifftop lead to the tiny stone chapel dedicated to St Govan, who lived in a cleft in the cliffs in the 6th century. The town of Brecon in Powys provides another fascinating image. This bustling market town at the top edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park has a beautiful cathedral and historic Georgian architecture, churches, independent shops and cafes. Brecon grew up around the Norman castle built in 1092, overlooking the River Usk.
