Tour of Wales Calendar Overview

The Tour of Wales calendar features fabulous locations all over Wales, taking you on a voyage of discovery through some of the most magnificent Welsh scenery. This attractive bilingual calendar has the days, months and titles in both Welsh and English.

In one scene we see fishing boats and sailing craft line Conwy's scenic harbour and sheltered marina. Conwy Castle dominates the town, built by Edward I from 1283-1289, with 8 huge towers, a drawbridge and portcullis. The town walls are virtually intact, with 21 horseshoe shaped towers. Spanning the River Conwy, the suspension bridge was built by Telford in 1826. Another photo depicts Friary Gardens, Cardiff, triangular in shape, with geometric floral beds and a statue of the 3rd Marquess of Bute. It is one of three formal gardens in Cathays Park which was designed as the Civic Centre in the early 20th century and built on the castle grounds. It houses many civic buildings such as City Hall and Cardiff University.
