British Birds Calendar Description

Bird watchers and art-lovers will delight in these lovely paintings of our native birdlife by Jeremy Paul, colourfully depicted throughout the seasons in the British Birds calendar. Two striking puffins are illustrated in one painting. With a large, triangular beak, they can carry ten fish at once sideways. Spending most of the year at sea, pairs return to breed each spring, in large colonies on remote islands and cliffs around Britain. A slender, dainty goldfinch with colourful plumage is the subject of another painting. It is unique in its ability to hold a plant with its feet whilst eating.
