Haedong Yonggungsa Temple in Busan, South Korea features in one superb photo. This temple, built by the Buddhist monk and teacher Jeongam in 1376, is unusually located on the rugged cliffs, almost suspended between sea and mountain. Inside, in a cave, is a sanctuary guarded by four stone lions. There are 108 stairs down to the rocky shore, lined with stone lanterns.
