The Kasbah Amridil, Morocco is the focus of one image. This fortress was built in the 17th century by the Nassiri family. Largely unchanged in over 300 years, the houses, streets, and Kasbah walls are preserved as a living museum featuring the old wells, bread ovens, and an ancient olive-oil press. Typical of oasis architecture in the Berber regions of southern Morocco, it is made from mudbrick and has square corner towers with geometric decoration.
