Rural Britain Note Station Desk Calendar Overview

The Rural Britain Note Station desk calendar has as its theme the connection between our diverse and beautiful British landscape and the rarely glimpsed wildlife which inhabits it. The useful sticky-notepads and highlighter pads and a hardback case bound white gloss easel enhance the appeal of this practical and attractive desk item.

Stunning autumnal reflections in Grasmere in Cumbria are the focus of November’s beautiful image. This small, idyllic lake, which has one island, is fed by the River Rothay which flows through Grasmere village into the lake and drains out into Rydal Water. The poet William Wordsworth lived in Grasmere for 14 years from 1799 and is buried in St Oswald’s churchyard with his wife and sister. There is also an endearing photo of a red squirrel with its russet fur and tufted ears, native to Britain but rarely seen. It lives in Lake District pine forests, mostly in the tree canopy, where it feeds off seeds from conifer cones.
