BHF Corsa Classic Golf Tournament Raises Record £5,850 for British Heart Foundation
The 18th annual BHF Corsa Classic Golf Tournament has achieved a new fundraising record, raising an incredible £5,850 for the British Heart Foundation. The fantastic total takes the amount raised by the event through the years to over £40,000.
Held at Clacton-on-Sea Golf Club on 27th August, the popular annual tournament brought together 140 golfers for a day of friendly competition, community spirit and fundraising in support of the vital work carried out by the British Heart Foundation.
The event, organised by staff member Daniel Clark, has become a firm fixture in the local golfing calendar over the past 18 years. Its continued success is testament to the generosity of the players, supporters and businesses who come together each year to support such an important cause.
Rose Calendars was proud to once again support the event as one of the main sponsors. As a long-established business within the local community, we are always pleased to support initiatives that bring people together while raising money for charities making a real difference.
Although the weather was mixed throughout the day, the sunshine made a welcome appearance during the afternoon, creating the perfect setting for the conclusion of the tournament. There was an added spectacle in the skies above the course too, as the RAF Red Arrows flew overhead in a display for the first day of the annual Clacton Airshow, concluding in a red smoke heart in tribute to the charity event taking place on the golf course below.
However, while the display by The Red Arrows and the golf provided plenty of memorable moments, the real success of the day was the remarkable fundraising total. Reaching £5,850 in a single year is a new record for the tournament and an achievement to be incredibly proud of.
Over 18 years, the BHF Corsa Classic has now raised more than £40,000 for the British Heart Foundation. A huge congratulations and thank you goes to Daniel Clark for organising another successful event, as well as to all 140 golfers who took part and everyone who contributed towards this year’s fundraising.
Rose Calendars is proud to have played a small part in supporting the BHF Corsa Classic and looks forward to seeing the event continue its incredible fundraising journey in the years ahead.
