Olde Worlde Inns Calendar Overview

The Olde Worlde Inns calendar is a showcase of some of the most attractive, picturesque and fascinating pubs and inns in Britain. Whitewashed stone inns, half-timbered village pubs, historic city centre pubs and many more traditional inns are all expertly photographed in this unusual calendar which will entice your clients to sample some of these appealing hostelries. Background information and maps to pinpoint location are also included.

The Maid’s Head, Wicken, near Ely, Cambridgeshire is featured in February. This 13th century thatched pub with beer garden and log fires standing on the lovely village green is thought to be one of the oldest pubs in Cambridgeshire. Nearby Wicken Fen is the National Trust’s oldest nature reserve covering a wide area of fenland, farmland, marsh and reed beds. In November the photo shows the Brondanw Arms, Llanfrothan, Gwynedd. It is a 17th century whitewashed traditional Welsh pub with exposed stone walls, slate floors, log fires, cask ales and cosy dining areas, situated within the Plas Brondanw Estate, the former home of the famous architect Sir Clough Williams Ellis, designer of the Italianate village of Portmerion, nearby.
